Meet Joyce

Joyce Craig is running for governor to ensure New Hampshire families have the opportunities they need to succeed. She’s committed to building strong communities, protecting abortion access, supporting public schools, and increasing affordable housing—and she has the experience to make change happen.

Born and raised in Manchester, Joyce was the first woman elected mayor of Manchester in 2017 and the first Democrat elected since 2005.

As Manchester’s chief executive, Joyce has attracted hundreds of millions of dollars in economic development, reduced violent crime by 38%, invested in public schools, and supported the creation of over 2,000 housing units.

Joyce understands the challenges that communities face and has the experience to solve them.

Joyce has won tough elections and knows that in order to make progress on the issues we care about most, we need to win back the Governor’s office.

Joyce and her husband, Michael, live in Manchester and have three children, William, Sarah, and Kathryn.
