Manchester, NH– Today, Mayor Joyce Craig launched a new television ad titled “Results.” The ad focuses on Mayor Craig’s record of bringing the community together to deliver results, and build a stronger Manchester.
“We’ve made meaningful progress in less than two years, and have worked to deliver results on the priorities that matter most to Manchester residents,” said Mayor Joyce Craig. “The numbers speak for themselves. In 2019, we’ve seen a six percent decrease in crime and a 16 percent decrease in opioid overdoses, my tax cap compliant budget proposed the largest increase in school funding in 14 years, and there were over $250 million dollars in new, private investments in economic development over the last two years.”
“In less than two years in office, Mayor Joyce Craig has delivered real results for the Queen City” said McKenzie St. Germain, Mayor Craig’s campaign manager. “Under Mayor Craig’s leadership, we’re improving public safety and combating the opioid crisis, strengthening our schools, and growing our economy, and Manchester voters know that we’ll continue to build a stronger city by re-electing Mayor Craig for a second term.”
The ad discusses the successes Mayor Craig has achieved for Manchester, including:
- Stepping up community policing efforts and approving the addition of 15 officers to the Manchester police force. Under Mayor Craig’s leadership, in 2019, crime has dropped in the Queen City by six percent.
- Increasing education funding. In her tax cap compliant budget, Mayor Craig increased funding for the school district by the largest amount in 14 years, while staying under the tax cap.
- Addressing the opioid crisis. Through collaborating with city officials and community partners, opioid overdoses have decreased by 16 percent in 2019 under Mayor Craig’s leadership.
- Bringing new, high-paying jobs to the Queen City, including the 800 jobs coming to Manchester through BAE Systems.
“I’m proud of the accomplishments we’ve achieved during my first term as your mayor, but we have more work to do. And by working together, we will continue to make Manchester stronger,” added Mayor Craig.
