Mayor Craig Submits More than 1,100 Nominating Petitions from Manchester Voters
MANCHESTER, NH– Today, Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig officially filed for re-election, surrounded by her family and supporters. In a showing of grassroots support from residents across the city, she submitted over 1,100 nominating petitions from Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, over five times the required number.
“In under two years, we’ve made meaningful progress strengthening our schools, growing our economy, and combating the opioid epidemic,” said Mayor Joyce Craig. “Manchester is on the move, and businesses, non-profits, and residents are working together to address our challenges and build on our successes. I’m running for a second term because this spirit of collaboration and non-partisan problem solving is delivering results that make our city stronger.”
After filing, Mayor Craig is kicking off her “12 Wards in 12 Days” tour, a series of stops in every ward of Manchester over the next 12 days. During this tour, Mayor Craig will meet with voters in their neighborhoods, listen to their ideas and concerns, and talk about how we can continue building a stronger Manchester. The tour will kick off today with a stop at Crystal Lake in ward 8 at 2 PM, and tomorrow, July 16th, with a community clean up in ward 5 at 5:30. Full details for all stops will be available at bit.ly/12wards12days.
