Manchester, NH – In the Manchester Chamber of Commerce debate this morning at the Derryfield Country Club, Mayor Joyce Craig laid out her clear record of delivering results on the priorities that matter most to Queen City residents.
The debate centered on economic development, an area in which Mayor Craig has excelled at in the less than two years she has served as Mayor of Manchester. In her first term, Mayor Craig has helped bring in over $250 million in new, private investment. She worked with the Palace Theatre and the Manchester Development Corporation to renovate the Rex Theatre into a dynamic 300-seat entertainment venue, brought in over 800 new, high paying jobs to the Queen City, and there is unprecedented development across the city, including the first development in the Millyard in decades.
“Mayor Craig’s record speaks for itself. She is bringing a culture of collaboration to City Hall that is delivering real results for the Queen City,” said McKenzie St. Germain, campaign manager for Mayor Joyce Craig. “We’re excited by her performance this morning, and ready to continue having conversations about the progress we’ve made over the next two weeks until the election.”
There will be two more debates in the race for Mayor of Manchester: On Sunday 10/27 at 10 a.m. a discussion with both candidates will air on WMUR, and the Union Leader and New Hampshire Public Radio will host a debate at 2 p.m. on Monday 10/28.
